Ronny Byrd | Senior Pastor

Pastor Ronny and his wife Gail have been married for over 45 years. From their early days they have been pursuing a life of ministry together. Their two children McKenzie and Morgan are both married. McKenzie and her husband Ryne have a daughter named Perry and Morgan and his wife Alli have a son named Benjamin. Benjamin and Perry are Ronny and Gail's favorite new passion.

Pastor Ronny has been in pastoral ministry for over 40 years. In the last 30 years he has spent most of his time pastoring two different churches that he was involved in planting. He was the founding pastor of Myrtle Beach Community Church (now Beach Church) and he is the founding and current Senior Pastor here at Palmetto Shores. 

In addition to leading Palmetto Shores, Pastor Ronny coaches many other young pastors and church planters in our area. He loves developing other men towards a life of godliness and faithful ministry. He has also had the privilege of being the "team pastor" for the football team at Myrtle Beach High School for a number of years. That is where you will find him on Friday nights in the fall.

Pastor Ronny's vision for his life is the vision of our church, to know Jesus and making all of life about Him. And he does his best to embody the mission of our church, to make disciples who make disciples. Please feel free to reach out to him. He would love to hear from you!
